Saw this last night in DC. Was pretty good. Aluna George gyrated and thrusted around the stage the entire time but was a great crowd warmer, especially with You Know You Like It and I’m in Control.
Then Miguel performed. Having not ever heard his music previously, I liked his opening stuff, but then he reminded the crowd that he’s “dirty” and started dancing like two rabid ferrets fighting in a burlap bag for the rest of his set.
Sia starts about two hours after the doors open, and absolutely killed it. Sia was singing either on stage or just off while the stage dancers (and Maddie Ziegler) performed the choreography. On either side of the stage were two large screens that showed pre-recorded vignettes for each song that were also performed on stage by the dancers. Cameos in the vignettes included Paul Dano, Kristen Wiig, and (awesomely) Tig Notaro. She closed with The Greatest, which you could hear the whole arena sing along with last night. The video below is from an earlier show in Seattle.
An excellent show. If you’re a fan of her music, or even a few of her songs I would strongly suggest attending, even if you do have to sit through Aluna George dry humping the air on stage and Miguel doing his worst Michael Jackson-inspired dance moves.

Only thing I know about Miguel is that he Hogan leg dropped a fan and played it off brilliantly

Party-vi likes pop music? Eeeeeeenteresting!
I don’t normally like to listen to the radio, preferring to listen to Spotify while I’m in the car, but nowadays my commute is vastly shorter (10-15 minutes compared to 45-60 minutes) and it’s too much of a hassle to screw in my aux cable (thanks Lifeproof case!) for so short of a drive, so I listen to the radio. Living in bumfuck Texas, where the stations are few to begin with, combined with my proximity to the corner of nowhere, that means I can only get 2-3 stations reliably. Those tend to play Sia. So, I’ve been learning a bit about her. I think I like her, too.
Damn, that was an unnecessarily long and rambling comment just to say “hey, I think she’s cool, too!” I guess reading so many similar diatribe-like comments recently has been rubbing off on me. ;)

Went to the same tour, but in Los Angeles. Was really surprised at how well everything was choreographed on Sia’s performance. The music video part projected on the video boards confused me at first and I was hunting for cameras near the stage before I realized it was all pre-recorded and just synced to the performance really well!

Sia would probably be the only pop concert I go to. I generally have awful taste in music.

I would have stayed for her, left for Miguel, and then come back for Sia, but I figured it was worth my $35 to see the whole show.

I really liked SIA. I was indifferent to the other opening acts. Actually, Miguel was WAYYYY too loud... I really found it interesting how the whole show was pre recorded in LA.
